Bromley Pump Station Upgrade
This Consent Decree project is designed to provide 38 MGD of additional, parallel pumping capacity to the existing Bromley Pump Station that resides in a residential area in the city of Bromley, KY. The project includes construction of a 54’ deep pump station, 44’ deep diversion structure and new electrical service platform to support the new facilities. The diversion chamber must be construction around an existing 60” influent sewer without long-term bypass pumping.
Building Crafts and GRW worked together during design to coordinate construction approaches and to budget several key work elements that were unique in nature due to the depth of the pump station and the need to keep the existing pump station in service at all times. BCI and GRW have a 40-year history of working together successfully on projects to ensure timely, budget-conscious completion, with the owner’s interests in mind.
